VIDEO: Many trapped as seven-storey building under construction collapse

A seven-storey building under construction has collapsed inside Banana Island, Lagos State.

 

The incident happened on Wednesday afternoon, April 12, while concreting was ongoing on the sixth floor.

 

 

A statement by NEMA said workers are trapped in the building and its officials are mobilising the response team to rescue the trapped victims.

 

Photos from the scene of the collapse show people standing around the ruins of the building, trying to help those trapped I the rubble.

 

A worker is seen bleeding, dust covering his body, after he survived the collapse.

 

 

A fire truck can also be seen at the scene.
