VIDEO: Plane plunges into Tanzania’s Lake Victoria

A plane has crashed into a Tanzanian lake early Sunday morning according to multiple local media reports.

The incident happened in the Lake Victoria located in Tanzania’s Kagera region.

In photos circulating on social media, the plane has plunged into the river with only the tail showing.

As part of rescue efforts, locals are captured with a boat trying to deal with the challenge.

The plane belongs to Precision Air, a Tanzanian airline based at Julius Nyerere International Airport in Dar es Salaam.

The airline operates scheduled passenger services to Nairobi, Entebbe, and to both airports and airstrips throughout Tanzania.
