VIDEO+PHOTOS: ‘Floating’ plastic waste that never got to its destination

There is no doubt the war on plastic waste is a difficult one that Ghana as a country must work hard to win. This week our lens caught private wastes collectors operating on the Korle Lagoon Ecological site.

The determined lads are not deterred by the logistical constraints they face as two of them were caught on camera struggling to carry a huge load of plastic waste.

They had sorted and packed their ‘goods’ in sacks but carting it to a nearby collection centre was a huge challenge. Call it bitting more than they can chew.
