Vybz Kartel Snubs Stonebwoy’s Concert Invite, Sparks Controversy by Engaging a post about Shatta Wale Instead

In a shocking turn of events, Jamaican dancehall artist  and newly released from prison after serving 11 year sentence Vybz Kartel,  is currently making waves in every available space on social media.

He seemed to like Shatta Wale more than any artist in Africa and even have a collaboration and a song with him already. And one thing is that Shatta Wale’s loyalty has never left Kartel regardless.  Recently, Stonebwoy wrote a welcome home message after Kartel’s released, adding an invitation of his upcoming concert to it.

Stonebwoy took to Twitter to personally invite Kartel for his upcoming Bhimnation concert, looking to catch the attention of the World Boss. But Kartel chose to interact with another post, that concerns Shatta Wale instead.

A tweet by Stonebwoy, intended to congratulate Kartel’s new-found freedom and extend a hand of friendship for a possible collaboration, was rather trumped by another Twitter post from another huge figure in the Ghanaian music scene, Shatta Wale, through his fan.

A staunch fan of Shatta Wale, Bianca highlighted the strong bond and mutual respect shared between Shatta Wale and Vybz Kartel, attesting highly to their chemistry as defining dancehall culture.

Well, Kartel responded to Bianca’s post, and this set quite some activity on social media. Many fans took notice of the apparent snub; some blamed Stonebwoy for bad timing and labeled him a “clout chaser.”

The post, showing the great relationship between Shatta Wale and Vybz Kartel, seemed to touch the heart of Kartel, who commented and went viral online within a few minutes.

His comment made almost 200k tweets within 4 hours, and the impression of the fans was that he was hinting at confirming Shatta Wale as the African dancehall king.
