Watch | Ghanaian youth hold street jam to celebrate lockdown lift

A section of Ghanaian youth have hit the streets of Accra to celebrate the lifting of the lockdown by the president.

A video sighted by mynewsghana.net captures a section of Ghanaian youth dancing in jubilation on the street to celebrate the president’ s new directive to lift the lockdown.

The president of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo yesterday in his seventh (7) address to the nation on Coronavirus announced a lifting of the partial lockdown in Accra, Tema, Kumasi and Kasoa.

According to the president, his decision was as a result of the success h8s governmenthas chocked in tracing and testing all contacts of covid-19 patients.

He however announced that all regulations of social distancing are still in place.

He also maintained the ban on all forms of social gatherings including religious activities, funerals, conferences, symposia etc.

Ghana has now confirmed a total of 1042 cases of Coronavirus with 99 recoveries and 9 deaths.
