What Are The Causes Of Chest Pain?

Chest pain shows up in many forms, ranging from a sharp stab to a dull ache. Sometimes chest pain feels crushing or burning. In certain situations, the pain moves up to the neck, into the jaw, and then spreads to the back or down one or both arms.

Several different problems can lead to chest pain.

According to Cleveland Clinic, home remedies for people having chest pain are:

1. Pneumonia

If your defenses aren’t strong enough, you can get an infection in your lungs. This infection can make either side of your chest feel pain, but you will also have a fever, chills, and a cough with mucus.

2. Heart attack

Heart muscle dies when it is unable to receive oxygen because of a blockage in the coronary artery supplying its blood.

3. Coronary artery disease

Cholesterol accumulation can narrow and block the blood vessels that supply blood to your heart. It’s usually worse with exercise because you can’t receive enough blood to the heart muscle and clogged coronary arteries.

4. Asthma

Allergens or irritants can make your airways narrow for some time, which makes it hard to breathe. You may feel a tightness in your chest and also cough or wheeze.

5. Lung cancer

Chest pain from lung cancer causes pain more when you cough, laugh or take a deep breath.

6. Broken rib

Accidents can make the ribs that protect your chest break. This causes a lot of pain, especially when you take deep breaths. It causes pain for many weeks.
