Woman:Three Habits You Should Stop To Avoid Cervical Cancer

The lining cells of the cervix (the structure that separates the uterus and the vaginal canal) are the first to develop cancer.

Cancer of the cervix is caused by several strains of the human papillomavirus (HPV), which are spread through sexual contact.

The immune system usually attempts to fight against HPV after a person has been exposed to it. However, the virus may remain active for years in a subset of individuals, causing the transformation of some cervical cells into malignant ones.

Regular screenings and the use of the anti-HPV vaccine are both effective means of preventing cervical cancer.

The following are some symptoms and signs that should raise alarm about cervical cancer:

1. abnormally large amounts of blood loss during or after s£xual activity, menstruation, or the menopause.

2. bleeding, red, watery, and offensive vaginal discharge.

3. Suffering pain or discomfort in the pelvis during s£xual activity

Here are 3 dangers to a woman’s health that, according to Healthline. Should be avoided at all costs.

1. Smoking cigarettes.

The risk of developing cervical cancer among smokers is nearly double that of non-smokers. Tobacco metabolites have been detected in the cervical mucus of chronic smokers. Researchers are concerned that exposure to these chemicals may harm the DNA in the cells that line the cervix, increasing the risk of developing cervical cancer.

2. Multiple intimate partners.

S£xually intimate contact with two or more people on a regular basis is considered having multiple intimate partners. It’s not impossible for partners to have multiple s£x experiences in quick succession.

The risk of human papillomavirus (HPV) infection rises in proportion to the number of sexual partners one has. You may be at a higher risk of developing the human papillomavirus if you have had several sexual partners, especially if any of them are infected with chlamydia, gonorrhea, syphilis, or HIV/AIDS.

3. Too much exposure to birth prevention drugs.

Chronic use of oral contraceptives has been linked to cervix damage. The longer she uses oral contraceptives, the higher her risk of developing cervical cancer. Hormonal birth control methods have been linked to an increased risk of ovarian cancer in addition to the more well-known link to an increased risk of breast cancer.

Prevention.

1. The risk of developing cervical cancer can be lowered by sticking to monogamous relationships and regular condom use.

2. If you don’t smoke, you shouldn’t start. If you want to quit smoking but don’t know how, you should go to a doctor.
