The abusuapanin of the Pekyi No 1 royal family, Opanin Akwasi Mensah has sent a strong warning to the general public to desist from transacting any land business with the Pekyi Chief, Nana Opoku Owusu Ababio.

According to him, anyone who does that puts himself in danger since the chief has a ban from the great oath of Asantehene placed on him(Otumfuo Ntamkese).

He accused the chief of several misconducts including illegal land sales, disrespecting Asante hemaa orders, retardation of development, incompetence among others.

Some residents who spoke to this reporter also accused the chief of failing to ensure peace and development of the town.

Otumfuo investigator and executive director for Corruption Combat International, Nana Kwadwo Amoah Ampem Okogyeabour said, his investigations for the past years reveals that the Pekyi No 1 chief is involved in galamsey.

He also accused the chief for using macho-men to bully residents who may criticize his evil deeds.

On his part, Kontihene of the town who claims to have been a victim of the chief’s bullying behavior, has more to tell us.
