Your donation is timely – Juaben Medical Director commends Francis Owusu-Akyaw

Mr Hamiso Bosque, Medical director at the Juaben government hospital receiving the handwashing items and detergents from Mr David Akomeah Asokwa, representative of Francis OWUSU-AKYAW at a brief ceremony in Juaben.

The medical director at the Juaben government hospital, Mr Hamiso Bosque has applauded the generous act by Mr Francis OWUSU-AKYAW, an aspiring NPP parliamentary candidate for Juaben.

This follows the latter’s presentation of 100 veronica buckets as well as hand sanitizers, washing soap and other detergents to about 10 medical facilities in the Juaben constituency.

Receiving the items on behalf of health centres in the constituency from David Akomeah Asokwa, a representative of Francis OWUSU-AKYAW, the medical director said the gesture was timely.

He noted that facilities in the constituency had been struggling to respond to the urgent need of providing basic hygiene items for hand washing in the face of the outbreak of the viral disease, coronavirus.

“We are indeed happy that Mr Akyaw decided to support us at such a time as this when we needed it most and we pray that others respond same way to help us deal with the threat of the viral disease”, the Medical Director posited.

REPRESENTATIVE

Speaking to this reporter after the brief presentation ceremony, Mr Asokwa who is an electoral area coordinator for Juaben NPP said the NPP aspirant attaches importance to issues about health.

He noted that the gesture to health facilities in the Juaben constituency  attests to the commitment of Mr Owusu-Akyaw’s to see to the welfare of the constituents.

The presentation, the representative disclosed forms part of a first phase delivery of hygiene items by the NPP aspirant.

The second phase he noted would be done to benefit facilities that are within the Juaben Township as well as some adjoining communities.

BENEFICIARY COMMUNITIES

Communities that benefited from the first phase of presentations were Atia, Bomfa, and Achiase Zone.

The others were New Koforidua, Boama, Duapompo, Kubease and Yaw Nkrumah.

Present at the ceremony were Sarah Aboagye, Head of Administration, Juaben Government Hospital as well as Mr K. Agyen, Head of Accounting section, Juaben Government Hospital
