Your License Can Be Revoked If You Violate These – Teachers Cautioned

The National Teaching Council gives licenses to professional teachers who work in both public and private schools across the country. This is done to improve and standardize the teaching profession.

In light of this, Mr. Boadu Abedi William, the Western and Western North Regional Secretary for GNAT, said that the Ghana Education Service has a code of professional conduct that says what teachers should and shouldn’t do.

He made it clear that any teacher who goes against this clearly written professional code of conduct can have their license taken away.

So, he asked teachers to follow the rules and regulations of their noble job so that they could make a positive difference in the world.

In an interview with Wassaman FM, a radio station in Wassa East, Mr. Boadu Abedi William urged teachers to go to more NTC workshops to get more points and be able to renew their licenses. This is because teachers will soon be able to use their licenses to negotiate their salaries with the government and get better working conditions.
