3 Ideal Patterns Of Eating Your Food

The way you arrange the carbs, protein, vitamins, and fat on your plate of food and how you eat them can determine your health. According to Healthline, there’s a pattern in which we should eat our food to get its maximum benefit.

The pattern in which we eat our food helps it digest properly and can affect our general well-being. The following is an ideal pattern for eating your food:

1. Some people prefer to eat meat or fish in their food first, while others prefer to eat them last. If you have ever seen someone who understands the right pattern of eating, you will notice that they don’t eat the meat or their rice first.

They will first eat the vegetables. This will allow your body to digest the whole meal properly. You should start by eating your vegetables, then eat the protein, fat, and carbs last.

The order in which you eat your food can help regulate your blood sugar and body weight. It affects your insulin and glucose levels after eating the food.

2. When you start by eating your food with vegetables, then protein, fat, and carbs, it helps you feel satiated. This happens because your protein will slow down the breakdown of carbs into sugar.

If the carbs quickly break down into sugar, they will quickly be absorbed into your bloodstream. This will increase your blood sugar and cause you to have a sudden feeling of hunger. If you have been eating the carbohydrates or fat in your food first, you need to change your eating pattern.

3. One-third of your food should be vegetables, the second portion should be protein, and the third portion should be made up of fat and complex carbs. Vegetables and protein will provide the fiber that will keep you satiated.

Some of us make the mistake of eating the carbohydrates on our plate of food first because the majority of it is carbohydrates.

Our bodies need carbohydrates for fuel and energy, but eating them first will only lead to sudden hunger. However, when you intentionally eat your carbohydrates last, it will help you eat fewer calories throughout the day.
