6-year-old girl allegedly killed for rituals at Adiembra

A 6-year-old schoolgirl has allegedly been kidnapped and killed for rituals at Adiembra near Dompim in the Tarkwa-Nsuaem Municipality of the Western Region, MyNewsGh.com reports

According to the police, father of the deceased claimed he went to farm leaving his three children at home. Later in the day, one of the children ran to him at the farm and informed him that, two men came to their house to kidnapped her younger sister Cecilia Cobbinah and taken her to unknown place.

The complainant and the latter rushed to the village and conducted a search around the village and found Cecilia Cobbinah dead with a deep cut on her throat after which an official complaint was lodged.

Police proceeded to the scene of the crime and found the body of Cecilia Cobbinah lying in a supine position with her throat being slashed with a sharp object.

The body has since been conveyed to Municipal Hospital Mortuary, Tarkwa for preservation pending autopsy.

In the meantime, efforts are on course to get the suspected murderers arrested.
