Egyptian international Mohamed Salah achieved another feat in Liverpool’s history books when he scored the club’s 2,000th goal in the Premier League.
Salah tucked a left footed penalty in Liverpool’s 2 – 0 win against Brighton on Saturday with Luis Diaz getting the other goal.
The victory was the Reds eighth consecutive victory in the Premier League
The No.11, however, required medical treatment in the 63rd minute in what looked like a bad injury situation, he was replaced by Diogo Jota.
Offering an update post-match, Jürgen Klopp told BT Sport about Salah’s situation: “We will see. He thinks it’s not serious but you can see when Mo Salah is sitting down then something is not 100 per cent right.
“I think it was the situation before when he hit the ball and got blocked – he wanted to shoot and got blocked and I think the foot got slightly overstretched. We have to see.”
