I Have A Stake In NDC And I Will Decide Who Becomes National Chairman – Wontumi

Mr. Bernard Antwi-Boasiako, the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has sworn to God that his candidate will win the National Chairmanship race of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

Samuel Ofosu-Ampofo and Johnson Asiedu Nketia are expected to fight it out for the National Chairmanship position of the NDC.

Mr. Bernard Antwi-Boasiako, who is better known as Chairman Wontumi, told Wontumionline that he has a favorite candidate in the race and that he will help that person win by giving them money and other resources.

“I care about the NDC and especially about who wins the race for National Chairmanship. I talked to my candidate, and I swore to the heavens that I would do anything to help him win. “If my candidate is chosen, it will be easier for the NPP to break the 8,” Chairman Wontumi said.

The two leaders of the party have been at each other’s throats lately. The latest was a leaked audio tape of Mr. Asiedu Nketia shockingly admitting that the NDC didn’t have any proof before accusing the Electoral Commission of Ghana of rigging the 2020 elections in favor of the NPP.

At the moment, Mr. Ofosu Ampofo’s job as National Chairman of the NDC is in danger because the party’s General Secretary, Johnson Asiedu Nketia, wants to get rid of him.

Mr. Asiedu Nketia is working hard to become the party’s National Chairman before the general election in 2024. This is said to be the main contest at the party’s next National Delegates Congress, which is coming up soon.

But the person in charge, Samuel Ofosu-Ampofo, says that party leaders have tried to stop Asiedu Nketia from running against him.
