Aowin Traditional Council Condemns the embattled Omanhene curse threat on the Aowin Municipal Coordinating Director

 

The Aowin Traditional Council has condemned the disgusting attempt made by Beyeeman Tano Kwaw Benbuin III, the embattled Omanhene of the area for threatening to curse Mr. Joseph Baba Ayelya, the Aowin Municipal Co-ordinating Director when he stepped foot into the office at the Coordinating Council which as a result lead him to work from home since Wednesday, 19th March 2024.

This curse threat by Beyeeman Tano Kwaw Benbuin III, the Omanhene of the Aowin on Mr. Joseph Baba Ayelya, the Aowin Municipal Co-ordinating Director came following his refusal to render accountability on the”Timber Royalties” received by the assembly since January 2017, which against the local government Art as demanded by the Omanhene.

AOWIN TRADITIONAL COUNCIL DISCLAIMER NOTICE; THREATENED TO ATTACK THE AOWIN MUNICIPAL COORDINATING DIRECTOR, OTHER OFFICIALS

The information we (Aowin Traditional Council) had is that Beyeeman Tano Kwaw Benbuin III, the embattled Omanhene of the area has threatened to curse Mr. Joseph Baba Ayelya, the Aowin Municipal Co-ordinating Director when he steps foot into the office at Coordinating Council.

Hereby, we (the Aowin Traditional Council) declare unequivocally that we are not involved in any such act and that the council is unaware of any such threat made by him.

To guarantee that MCD and the other employees can return to work in peace and safety, we are hereby requesting a police investigation into the matter.

We wish to condemn the disgusting act of attacking the Aowin Municipal Coordinating Director and other government officials which as a result prevented them from coming to the office to serve the good people of the area, since Wednesday, 19th March 2024, over his quest for the accountability on “Timber Royalties” received since January 2017, from the municipal assembly.

We are therefore appealing to the police service to work with no compromises to ensure a safe working environment for the people of the region.
