A few days after his nearly fatal vehicle accident, highlife musician Kuami Eugene released a new song titled “Canopy.” His Range Rover collided with a tipper truck at CP, near the DSTV office, heading towards the Dzowulu traffic light in Accra, causing the disaster. He suffered injuries to his leg, hip, and lips in addition to breaking his arm.
He spent several days in the hospital following the accident, but he was determined to recover fast and carry on with his love of music. After the disappointment, Kuami Eugene’s perseverance and commitment to his work were demonstrated by the timely publication of his new song, “Canopy.”

The musician released the new song to portray his survival from the fatal accident on March 17, 2024. The song’s opening soundscape is full of vibrant instrumentation, appealing rhythms, and the distinctive voice of the Lynx Entertainment signee.
