Last night after Thursday night pool party in Big Brother Naija Season 9 house saw sparks flying in ways that no one could have ever foretold when Toby Forge turned his attention on fellow housemate Kassia. What had begun as a seemingly harmless conversation quickly blew up into a dramatic exchange that kept viewers on tenterhooks.

It all started when Toby made a very bold statement: “I know how to get to you and I know how to flirt with you.” Kassia was unfazed, playful, answering with a simple “Yeah.” What followed was much more than that.

One of the housemates, Mayor Frosh, could not hold it and responded to her with a light-hearted remark: “I’m not gonna lie, you look good, you know.” This had Toby jokingly commenting back, “She looks like food; I could eat her every day—morning, afternoon, and night.” Kassia, who is always sharp, then asked, “Is he okay?”

Unfazed by the tension, Toby reassured her thus: “I’m okay.” But Kassia, as if she felt something more, asked again, “I know you are; I’m talking about Mayor Frosh: how many bottles did you take?” As smooth as usual, Toby dusts it off with a compliment: “The bottles are not the problem but the beauty in your eyes.”

He turned serious after confessing, “I’ve always been thinking of k!ssing you since the first day I saw you. I want to pin you on the wall and kiss you. That is serious, one of my intentions, but I feel like you deserve better.” He really wanted to take it slow in process and said, “You need to get to know me, and I get to know you.”

However, Kassia, ever the mystery, gave hints of there possibly being another side to her story. When Toby’s “spirit” sensed she might already have someone, she deftly redirected the conversation, leaving Toby to wonder if he had been getting “mixed signals.”

Well, the real surprise came when Toby, oblivious to Kassia’s real relationship status, said, “You are the only girl in this house I cherish. Maybe in two years, I no give you belle, I no go waste time.” Kassia laughed, probably out of irony from the happening—the lady is secretly wed to another housemate called KellyRay, her partner in the game.

As the conversation came to an end, Toby unbuttoned and confessed, “My mind is telling me to pin you to that wall and give you a deep kiss, f#ck everybody in here, that’s how you make me feel.” He ended with a warning to Kassia to “take your time” and never allow someone to coerce her into doing something.

Unbeknownst to Toby, Kassia’s heart is already given to her husband, Kelly, who is among Biggie’s guests in the house. The fact that Toby does not know Kassia is a married lady makes things even more interesting than they already are.

While viewers are left to keep watching the unfolding drama, one thing is very certain: nothing in the Big Brother Naija house is ever as it appears. With an already intense emotional tussle and secrets waiting to be revealed, this season will most definitely keep fans guessing to the last minute.
