A/R: Tourism Minister cuts sod for the construction of Amphitheater

The Deputy Minister for Tourism Arts and Culture, Hon Mark Okraku-Mantey has today, April 26,2023 cuts sod for the construction of Amphitheater which is  to be built at the cultural center of Kumasi in the Ashanti Region.
According to the Minister, it is not only Kumasi that will benefit from this project but other four cities such as Greater Accra,Tamale, Takoradi and Tema will also benefit from the project.
“The Akufo Addo led New Patriotic Party (NPP) in their campaign promised to build about five amphitheaters in the country which will help the creative arts industry and also serve a number of purposes to other institutions as a conference Hall”he stated.
Mr. Mantey added that the amphitheater will help revamp the creative arts industry which will also help to provide revenue for the country to help in developmental projects so as to move the country forward.
He further stated that as part of the government’s ambition to revamp the creative arts industry, they have passed the creative arts law, built a creative arts school at Kwadaso of the Kwadaso Municipality of the Ashanti Region to help train people with the creative arts skill.
The Hon Minister confidently assured journalists and other stakeholders who were present at the occasion that the project will be completed by the end of July,2023
In an interview with the Mayor of Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA),Hon Samuel Pyne, he applauded the government for fulfilling its promise of building
the theater.
“I believe that this will not a thing in the blue but will be completed as the Hon Minister said”, he added.
Mr. Pyne further stated  that the authorities of Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly will make sure that the project will be under the supervision of the Engineers of organization until it is completed.
