Asesewa: Jail break at Police Station

A remand prisoner at the Asesewa Police station in the Eastern region has broken jail

According to the Asesewa Police, the suspect who was arrested and remanded for stealing escaped from lawful custody through the cell window.

The Police on duty on the night of September 16, 2020 upon their visit to the cells at 12:30 am detected that one of the iron rods which was used to block the windows of the prison had been broken.

Upon undertaking a roll call of the inmates, the Police on duty realized that Tetteh Abraham who was on remand at the cell had broken the rod and had fled.

The Police in the Eastern region have since started a hunt for the criminal who escaped from police custody.
