Breast Care International Ghana led by its Founder and President Dr. Mrs. Beatrice Wiafe Addai who also serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Peace and Love Hospitals together with her partners outdoor the 2023 edition of ‘Walk for the Cure’ in Accra, Ghana.
Dr. Mrs. Wiafe Addai in her speech noted that about 2,000 Ghanaian women die from breast cancer every year and therefore proper attention and solution are needed.
“I am very grateful for the opportunity to lead this initiative by ensuring that breast cancer becomes a thing of the past. Breast Care International is committed to delivering free breast cancer in Ghana and the entire African continent”.
She added that there must be a collective effort to make the initiative a reality.
The Chief Executive Officer of the Accra Metropolitan Assembly Madam Elizabeth Sackey who chaired the program in her remarks pledged to support Dr Mrs Wiafe Addai and the Breast Care International Ghana.
“I’m very excited to be part of this laudable initiative. Let me use this medium to announce that the entire Accra Metropolitan Assembly will be part of the walk”.
The paramount king of the Egbo community in Ghana, His Royal Majesty, Eze Dr. Amb. Chukwudi Ihenetu, Ezeigbo Ghana also commended Dr. Wiafe Addai for saving thousands of lives through Breast Care International and vowed to support them.
He advised victims to seek medical attention rather than spending all their time at prayer camps.
The walk for the cure has been slated for Saturday, October, 7th 2023 at Accra, Starting from Obra Spot through some principal streets and ending at Accra Metropolitan Assembly.
