COVID-19: Nine more killed in Ghana as death toll hits 248

Nine more persons have been killed by the deadly COVID-19 in Ghana, taking the country’s death toll to 248.

 

The total case count of the highly infectious disease now stands at 42,993 with a total of 40,796 people either recovered or discharged.

 

The current active cases has increased slightly from 1,847 to 1,949 with 340 new cases recorded, the Ghana Health Service has announced on its website.

 

Three patients are currently on ventilators while six remain critical with 16 others in a severe situation.
