Audio: Boy, 13, narrates how he escaped from a kidnapper at Gomoa

A 13-year-old boy, in an interview with Adom News, has narrated how he mistakenly helped a kidnapper at Gomoa in the Central region and got kidnapped.

According to him, the incident happened when he decided to assist a man who was carrying multiple loads in the Kasoa market, but was forcibly pushed into the man’s car after dropping the things.

In an interview with Adom News, the boy said “I screamed all I could but all the windows were rolled up so nobody could hear me and I met four other boys in the car.”

According to him, the man drove them to an unknown area in a farm to cage them.

He said it was on their way that he made up his mind to escape and managed to do so with another boy. They eventually found themselves in Takoradi with the help of a driver.

Sarah Mensah, mother of the boy, confirming the incident, said she believes prayer was what reunited her son with the family.
