EC Must Specify Plans to Register All S.H.S Students to Avert Disenfranchisement – EGS Boss

The President of Educate Ghana Summit (EGS) has called on the Electoral Commission to explain to the general public how it will get the Senior High School Students registered to prevent disenfranchisement in the upcoming general elections.

We are very much aware of the no-visitation order that disallows people who are not workers in the schools from entering the school campuses as part of the COVID-19 protocols. We would like to know measures being instituted to register all Senior High School Students who have turned eighteen and have the right to vote.

Article 42 reads that, every citizen of Ghana of eighteen years of age or above and of sound mind has the right to vote and is entitled to be registered as a voter for the purposes of public elections and referenda.

As a concerned citizen of Ghana, I need a reliable answer from the Electoral Commission in time.

Long lived our motherland, Ghana.

Long lived Educate Ghana Summit.

Signed

Boadi William

President of Educate Ghana Summit (EGS), Educationist and Motivational Speaker.
