Ghana suffers nationwide power cut over ‘systems challenge’

Ghana has been hit with a nationwide power outage following a ‘challenge’ with the power systems, Ghana Grid Company (GRIDCo) has announced.

A statement by the power distributor Sunday afternoon said technicians are currently working to resolve the challenge.

Some parts of the country have been experiencing power cuts in recent times. The Electricity Company of Ghana has however dismissed suggestions that the protracted power challenge suffered by the country some years ago is lurking.
