I rushed into marriage because my ex got married to another woman – Lady reveals

Patricia Ababio, a businesswoman in Kumasi, has said that she got married quickly to show her ex-boyfriend that she was ready to get married.

In an interview with DJ Nyaami for Daily Hustle on SVTV Africa, Patricia said that she proposed to her then-boyfriend, who is now her ex-husband, because of pressure from her friends and the pain of her previous relationship.

Patricia says that they got married too quickly, without getting to know each other well. She said, “At the time, I was naive. Coworkers, friends, and family members all got married. So it put pressure on me.

Then, after four months together, I brought up the idea of getting married. Aside from peer pressure, I got married because one of my ex-boyfriends also got married that year, and I wanted to show him that I could be a good wife.

The woman who got divorced said it was the “biggest mistake” she ever made. Patricia also said she was naive and immature and ignored all the signs that her husband was cheating on her.

“I didn’t know what to look for in a partner who was cheating. I only knew that my friends were getting married and that my ex-boyfriend was already married. “That’s why I had to get married,” she said.

Patricia remembered that he had cheated on her, but also that he was rude and not ready to be in a relationship. She told the young people to be careful and not give in to peer pressure if they didn’t want to end up sorry.
