Kennedy Agyapong is likely to win the highest mark in the Ashanti Region despite Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu’s prediction of getting 20% of the votes

 

Based on the information gathered from the Ashanti Region’s forty-seven (47) constituencies earlier, the grassroots delegates are prepared and eager to support Kennedy Agyapong because they don’t share in the pleasure that the constituency executives derive from the vice president, Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia Comp.

Majority leader in Ghana’s Parliament, Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu has indicated clearly that he will be surprised if Kennedy Agyapong can garner 20 percent of the November 4 presidential primaries of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

The seven-time lawmaker added that Kennedy Agyapong will not even get 15 percent of the total votes in the Ashanti Region.

“I will be surprised if Kennedy Agcans even 20% in the presidential primaries. Kennedy Agyapong would not even get 15% in the Ashanti Rseven-timehlawmakerember of Parliament indicated.

He says Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia’s economic acumen is unquestionable and that he is the right person to change the economic situation.

Over 200,000 delegates are expected to decide on four candidates as the ruling party chooses a flagbearer for the 2024 general election.

Some polls have put the Vice President ahead with a colossal percentage.

In the end, it will be unexpected if Kennedy Agyapong wins the Ashanti Region NPP Presidential Delegates Conference and things do not the way predicted by Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu, the majority leader in Ghana’s Parliament

The security situation in the region concerning the elections is very tight and as of the time this story was filed, there was no casualty recorded in the region.
