Main suspect in Miotso herdsmen attack arrested

The Prampram Divisional Police Command has arrested one Anum Adams, who is alleged to have masterminded an attack on some herdsmen in Miotso, a suburb of Prampram District some weeks ago.

It would be recalled that the Command some weeks ago arrested three persons for their involvement in the shooting and abduction of some herdsmen in Miotso.

The suspect on the orders of Anum Adams were alleged to have shot and wounded one of the herdsmen, after abducting another, whose whereabout is currently unknown.

The three suspects according to the police, had confessed working on the orders of Anum Adams, who has been on the run since the incident.

However, reports indicate that the main suspect has since been arrested, with police processing him for court.

Prampram Divisional Crime office, Chief Supt Arkoh in an interview, confirmed the arrest of the main suspect after weeks of intelligence gathering by the police.

Meanwhile an Asafoatse Lartey Bantama IV of the Prampram Traditional Council, has urged the police to ensure the suspect is not left off the hook since he has been a major threat to the society. He recounted a similar attack by the said suspect a year ago, which also led to the disappearance of a young man whose corpse was later discovered in a bush.

He wants the command to expedite action in ensuring he’s caged for good, warning the council will not tolerate any interference in the matter.
