Man broke into woman’s home, then ‘realised she had this within reach’

According to police, the guy, eventually identified as Macklin, 31, had a gun with him when he entered the woman’s home.

He allegedly lived there with his ex-girlfriend. The anonymous woman was unable to access her weapon when the suspect broke into the flat and brandished the pistol, but she was able to use “something” to successfully fend off the intruder.

A police official informed USA Today that they could not corroborate the suspect’s relationship with the woman, despite some local media outlets reporting that the woman was the suspect’s ex-girlfriend.

Only the fact that it was domestic was acknowledged. We are unable to reveal the victim’s relationship with the suspect at this time because the incident was domestic, the spokeswoman said.

She decided to repel the guy with hot cooking oil after he broke into the woman’s house and caused a domestic disturbance.

In self-defence, the nameless woman threw a kettle of boiling grease in the man’s face without mercy.

The oil covered the man’s face in severe burns and deterred him long enough for police to show up after being informed of the domestic disturbance.

The suspect, who was still on the scene when police arrived, was taken into custody by police officers. An investigator found that Macklin was the fight’s main aggressor.

The woman used a saucepan filled with hot grease to defend herself when Macklin “entered the victim’s house with a firearm,” according to the police. He was sent to jail without incident after being taken to the hospital for treatment of the severe burns he received from the hot grease on his face.
