Police hunt for Bolgatanga killers

Police within the Bolgatanga Municipality of the Upper East Region are on a hunt for suspected assailants of a 36-year-old man who was gruesomely murdered close to a guest house.

Ayine Abilba was shot at close range by unknown assailants at Skin Guest House located at Daporetindongo within the Bolgatanga Municipality.

Police revealed to MyNewsGh.com that nothing was taken away from him as they found among others, a wallet containing a voter’s I.D card, Ghana card bearing the name Ayine Abilba aged 36 years, a black L.G phone and cash the sum of GHC 281.

A Red Honda Motorbike with registration number M-18-UE 6114, Blow F92 Foreign Pistol with two rounds of ammunition were seen lying in a nearby gutter believed to belong to the young man with a pool of blood just by the motorbike, a big stone with blood stains and three BB spent shells were also retrieved from the scene of crime.

According to the police who confirmed the incident to MyNewsGh.com, a private security man at the Guest House reported that he heard a gunshot outside the guest house.

He came out and saw a young man in a pool of blood lying in the yard of the guest house and notified the police who moved to the crime and met a young man clad in an orange T-shirt and blue jeans with severe wounds on his face and back lying in a supine position.
