Tema General Hospital released a statement responding to Tuesday’s power outage at the neonatal ICU, stating no lives were lost as a result. The hospital has refuted reports, but the revelation has caught many Ghanaians off guard, with a lot of proof circulating on social media.
Despite claims that a power outage was responsible for a child’s death, Tema General Hospital refutes these allegations and states that they have a backup generator in place. They also said they have yet to investigate the viral video of the hospital where mothers were in the dark fanning themselves and their babies.
Below is the Hospital report denying lives lost….
A 24-year-old mother blamed the Tema General Hospital for the death of her child during the intermittent power outage. She is bent on the cause of the death of her baby, claiming that what happened to her at Tema Hospital is absympathetic and unpardonable.
However, the hospital has denied the claim, indicating that they have an automatic standby generator. The mother alleges that delays in getting medical attention because of the power outage are to blame for her child’s terrible fate. She is requesting that the hospital’s emergency response be looked into.
