Ms Kate Abena Gyamfuah, the incumbent National Women’s Organizer of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) says the NPP must maintain power after President Akufo-Addo ends his term at all cost.

She claims the party will be thrown into opposition for the next 30 years if they fail to ‘break the 8’.

This revelation she claimed was a prophecy she received from God.

“There is a prophecy that if we fail to break the eight, we will stay in opposition for 30 years,” she said.

Speaking to some members of the party’s women’s wing, she noted that the party would need to renew the tenure of the incumbent General Secretary, John Boadu to help achieve the ‘break the eight’ agenda.

She called on the female delegates to vote massively for John Boadu to realise the dreams of the party.

“Let’s vote for John Boadu because he has promised not to sideline the women’s wing in his efforts to break the eight,” she said.

Miss Kate Gyamfuah added, “he has been fighting for us (The women’s wing) in terms of the school feeding program, he convinced the President to increase the amount given to the caterers.”

She stated, “And when the money gets stuck, he speaks on our behalf.”

The NPP has set its national delegates’ conference on Saturday, July 16 to elect new officials to steer the affairs of the party.
