The Assin Central MP petitioned by the Volunteer Group for Ken Agyapong

Kennedy Agyapong, the Member of Parliament for Assin Central, has been petitioned by a group in the Ashanti Region called Volunteer Group for Kennedy Agyapong appealing to him not to withdraw his candidacy for presidential ambition in the 2024 general elections.

Speaking at a press conference earlier today at Patasi, the group stated that Kennedy Agyapong’s goal of rescuing Ghana’s collapsing economy should not be undermined by the recent results of the New Patriotic Party’s presidential primaries.

They claim that the youth have grown to have such a high level of confidence and trust in him because of the numerous creative policies he announced during his campaign. As a result, they have urged him to make every effort to run for president in the 2024 elections.

The chairman for the groups, Mr. Amankwaa Gabriel (Fadda Gabby) said the group had in this petition calling on him to listen to the grassroots call.

Additionally, he said the party (NPP) upon dubious discrimination against Kennedy Agyapong has now realized that without him the party cannot win power under the leadership of Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumiah.
