The Chief of Denkyira Nipa Ne Kro Appealed To The Energy Ministry To Complete The Electricity Project In The Area

The chief of Denkyira Nipa Ne Kro Nana Adusei Opako I in the Upper Denkyira West District of the central region has called on the government and the Energy Ministry to complete the energy project and install meters after connecting to the national grid.

Nipa Ne Kro is a settlement close to Diaso that is primarily a mining and agricultural hamlet. Even though the community is connected to the national grid and no meters have yet been installed, Nana Adusei Opako expressed his concerns about the project’s delay, saying that it has caused much annoyance and hindered the community’s progress. He emphasized the importance of power in promoting economic growth, improving living standards, and increasing access to education.

In his first public speech, Nana Adusi Opako I, the first chief of Nipa Ne Kro, made this news remark after becoming the area’s enstooled chief.

To guarantee equitable and precise billing for the households, he requested the Energy Ministry to install meters.

He emphasized the importance of accountability and transparency in the energy sector, saying that installing meters will aid in preventing any inconsistencies or unfair business practices.

Meanwhile, he also added that the community has banded together to construct a teachers’ bungalow in the area. But because of budgetary limitations, they are now pleading with the government and non-governmental organizations for help in finishing this important initiative.

The community took the initiative to build this bungalow so that local teachers would have a decent place to live.

The community decided to launch this project because they understood how important high-quality education is. However, they encountered several obstacles in their path, making it more difficult to finish the project.
