The three persons namely; George Agidi aka Doctor Aggrey, age 30, Adam Razak, age 31 and 17-year-old Nunekpeku Isaac were arrested at Ve-Koloenu in the Afadjato South District of the Volta Region.
The Volta Regional Police PRO, Prince Dogbatse who confirmed the incident said the three were arrested during a dawn swoop by the Drugs Law Enforcement Unit of the Regional Police Command on May 7, 2020.
He explained that the suspects were arrested while packaging suspected cannabis into compressed slabs meant for commercial distribution.
A total of eight sacks of the compressed Indian hemp and tools including seven heavy-duty car jacks and special purpose metal fabrications used in compressing the cannabis were retrieved from the hideout of the trio.
The items which are in the possession of the Police have been kept in evidence to aid investigations.

He appealed to the public to take their personal security seriously, watch out for each other and provide prompt information about crimes to the Police for swift action.
