Two children die in the car of prophet at Fawoade

Two children have met their premature death in the car of Prophet Evans K. Oppong of Light Salvation Ministry International at Fawoade in the Kwabre East District of the Ashanti Region.

The sad incident happened on Sunday, April 4, 2021, at the church premises at Fawoade. Soireenews were informed that the children after Sunday school service took over the prophet’s car with registration number, ER 201-13, which had its doors unlocked to have fun whiles the adult service was ongoing.

The accesses automatically secured after entry and the heat suffocated the two children until they lost grasp of air.

One of the children, Blessed Yiedie Boadu whose father is a musician known as Ericus Papa narrated that his wife is a staunch member of the church and was at service at 9 am. He told that per his wife, the child kept showing up to her whiles service was ongoing as an indication that he is having fun with Sunday school friends until he ceased to report himself at 10.

A search party was then organized to search for the two boys when they were nowhere to be found after service. It took hours before a man located them in the prophet’s car where the two children were discovered out of breath. They were confirmed dead at the Mt. Zion Hospital at Asonomaso Nkwanta.

The mother of the other child, name withheld told Soireenews that she visited the church for prayers and its tormenting to encounter such a misfortune.

The case is under investigation at the Tafo Pankrono Divisional Police Command.

The three-year-old’s body has been deposited at the Mount Zion Mortuary and his fellow at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital.
