Two robbers beaten to pulp after robbing MoMo agent in broad daylight

Two suspected armed robbers have been beaten to pulp by a mob at Asuboi in the Ayensuano district in the Eastern region after allegdly robbing a mobile money agent in broad daylight.

One of the robbers is feared dead.

The robbers, on a motorbike, attacked a mobile money agent in the community Tuesday morning at gunpoint and attempted to abscond with an amount of about Ghc2000 but were pursued with another motorbike by the youth in the community.

The robbers were captured in a Rambo style and were beaten mercilessly. An eyewitness Kojo Minta said one of the robbers was motionless.

Both suspects have however been rushed to Suhum government hospital for treatment.

Robbery of mobile money agents in the country has been on the rise in the past few months.

In some cases, these agents have been shot dead while others suffered various degrees of injuries. after losing huge amounts of money.

The Mobile Money Agents Association of Ghana (MMAAG) have called on the Ghana Police Service for intervention to help protect its members
