Video: Sienchemhene endorses Mahama, prays he wins 2020

The chief of Sienchem in the Asutifi South constituency of the Ahafo Region, Nana Bofour Anim III has extolled the development achievements of former President John Mahama and endorsed his candidature ahead of the December polls this year.

“I know you are the one who will develop and build our bridge when you come to power because you’re a doer. When somebody does good and we are praising him, they say we are being political but this is not politics. We vote for development, so, why will we vote for someone who will not develop our area.

“The NDC has done everything in this place, so, what are you coming to promise us? You have nothing to offer us. If someone does good, should they not be praised for them to feel good about themselves? If you can’t praise the person, must you disgrace them?

“I want to tell John Mahama to remain calm and that as for Sienchem and Ahafo, everything will work out in his favour. We are solidly behind him and we know victory will be his in 2020,” Nana Bofour Anim III told Mr Mahama and his entourage when they visited the town as part of their SpeakOut tour of the region.

Last week, the paramount chief of the Nyagbo Traditional Area, who doubles as a Court of Appeal Judge, Justice Clemence Jackson Honyenuga came under heavy criticism for showering praises on President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
