Why you should not be baptized in the name of God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit

It’s a beautiful brand-new day and the Good Lord has blessed us with the gift of live.

Today’s topic is a very controversial one. To be baptized is very important to every Christian since it seems to determine one’s salvation.

Mark 16:16 reads that whosoever believes in the word and is baptized will be saved but whosoever does not will be condemned. Additionally, John 3:5 enlightens us about the fact that no one can enter the Kingdom of God unless they are born of water and of the Spirit.

But is it really wrong to be baptized in the name of God the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit? And what should one do if he or she has already been baptized in the name of God the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.

The Bible teaches us in Mathew 28:19-20, “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely, I am with you always, to the very end of the age”.

In this scenario, Christ commanded his disciples to go ye therefore and preach the word, and that whosoever believed, be baptized in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. But my question here is, how did the disciples baptize the believers and in what name did they baptize them.

Acts 2:38 reads, (And Peter said to them, repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit”.)

Acts 22:16, “and now, what are you waiting for? Get up, be baptized and wash away your sins, calling on his name”. And the name is?

Acts 10:48, “so he ordered that they be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ. Then they asked Peter to stay with the for a few days.

Romans 6:3, “Or don’t you know that all of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death?”.

Galatians 3:26-27, Acts 19:1-5, 1 Corinthians 1:13, Acts 8:16, and Acts 19:5 all testify to the fact that when the Apostles were sent to baptize, they baptized in the name of Jesus Christ.

And to answer what one should do if not baptized in the name of Jesus Christ, Acts 19:1-6 will be the perfect answer.

Now then, should you allow yourself and your household to be baptized otherwise? And what are your thoughts about this. Kindly share them in the comment section below as we interact with one another.
