The Municipal Chief Executive of Techiman South, Hon. Kwaku Adjei-Mensah, has expressed his heartfelt appreciation to the people of Techiman for their immense contribution to the success of the Techiman South National Sanitation Program.
He praised members of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), particularly the Member of Parliament for Techiman South, Hon. Martin Adjei-Mensah Korsah, the party executives, and the Bono East Regional NPP Chairman, Chairman Ibrahim Baba Bukari, for putting aside political differences and fully supporting the exercise.

“The Municipal Coordinating Director sent an invitation to our Member of Parliament, Hon. Martin Adjei Mensah Korsah, who is a member of the New Patriotic Party, together with his executives, to join us for this exercise. I am overwhelmed by their massive turnout. The Bono East Regional NPP Chairman, Ibrahim Baba Bukari, who is also a resident of Techiman, joined us and at a point donated GH₵1,000.00 to some youth groups for their participation, which was very impressive.
“The program was devoid of political colors, and the people of Techiman truly showed love by coming out in large numbers for this exercise. It is my hope that the level of unity demonstrated today will continue, and through it, we can keep our city clean and safe.” He stated
The program, dubbed “Operation Clean Your Frontage,” brought together several organizations and associations, including the media, National Service Association, Bonokyempem Youth Association, City Boys, Assembly Members and Unit Committees, Techiman Youth Association, Bissa Youth, the Blue Keep Fit Club, Kotokoli Youth Association, Onua Keep Fit Club, Gye Nyame Keep Fit Club, Anyinabrem Youth Association, Yes Keep Fit Club, Gambo Eleven Youth Association, Mosi Youth Association, Wangara Youth Association, Dagaaba Youth Association, road transport unions, market queens and traders, security services, Municipal Assembly staff, other government workers, and the general public. He further acknowledged the contributions of Zoomlion Ghana Limited, the Techiman Traditional Council, the Municipal Assembly, and several companies, associations, and youth groups.
“Let me begin by thanking the media in Techiman. You have really done a great job publicizing this exercise, and as a result, many people turned up to participate in the clean-up exercise.
“I am also grateful to all the companies that supported us, especially Zoomlion Ghana Limited for their contribution, and to the Municipal Assembly for their efforts. I am most grateful to the Techiman Traditional Council for their immense support in making this exercise a success.” He said
The MCE continued, “Several associations and groups in Techiman also participated, and I would like to use this platform to express my sincere appreciation to them. The City Boys, who for some time now have made it their mandate to help keep the city clean, deserve special mention. I plead with well-meaning residents to support them in their activities.
“The Bonokyempem Youth Association, Techiman Youth Association, Twimea Nkwanta Youth Association, National Service Association, the various keep-fit clubs in the municipality, and all government workers also did very well in participating in this National Sanitation Day exercise.”
The Bono East Regional Coordinator of Zoomlion Ghana Ltd, Emmanuel Abasiya, reaffirmed the company’s commitment to sanitation in Techiman and across the country, noting that they provided four trucks, six motor tricycles, hand gloves, rakes, shovels, wheelbarrows, and nose masks for the exercise.
“Zoomlion Ghana Limited aims to keep Techiman and Ghana as a whole clean. To achieve this, we have provided waste containers at vantage points and also offer door-to-door services in Techiman to ensure the city remains clean at all times.
“As a major stakeholder in the sanitation business, we deemed it necessary to join the Municipal Assembly in the National Sanitation Day exercise. For this exercise, we provided four trucks, six motor tricycles, hand gloves, rakes, shovels, wheelbarrows, and nose masks to help make the program successful.” He stated.
According to him, sanitation is a collective responsibility, and this principle informed the company’s support for the “Operation Clean Your Frontage” exercise in Techiman.
