The Central Regional National Democratic Congress (NDC) under the able leadership of Dr Richard Kofi Asiedu made a strong showing at the 12th Annual Conference of Chairpersons of Governing Boards, Councils, and Chief Executives of the Public Services of Ghana, held in Ho.
At the conference, President John Dramani Mahama delivered a compelling address, underscoring the critical importance of accountability in the management of public resources.
“Recklessness with public funds and resources must end,” he stressed, expressing dismay at the recurring nature of financial misconduct uncovered during Public Accounts Committee hearings.

The President also urged public sector institutions to leverage Human Resource Management Information Systems to enhance efficiency, transparency, and accountability.
Furthermore, he announced the submission of the 24-Hour Economy Authority Bill to Parliament, encouraging public institutions to align their operations with the initiative.
