On behalf of Nana Kofi Drobo, Ernest Boama, the traditional leader’s secretary, has donated GH¢3,000 to Classic FM in preparation for the station’s upcoming 2025 Agyanka Bewe Akoko initiative.
During the handover, Mr. Boama stated that Nana Kofi Drobo is driven by a strong commitment to supporting the underprivileged.
“According to Nana, what encourages him the most is living to see the end of the year and remembering that he must not celebrate alone while the needy, widows, orphans, and other vulnerable people struggle.
“This thought often gives him sleepless nights, and as a result, he has made it a commitment to share food, clothing, and other items to make the needy happy, as they, too, have lived to see the glory of God and the end of the year in good health,” he shared with Classic FM’s Nana Boakye Yiadom (N.B.Y).
He further noted that Nana Kofi Drobo views sharing as an expression of care and a divine blessing.
“Nana says sharing is caring, and he believes it is a blessing from God. He does not give merely to seek God’s blessings for himself but invites anyone who desires blessings to also take part in giving to the needy, because giving attracts divine favour. According to him, this initiative has truly made a positive impact.”
The contribution is also timed ahead of the Appor Festival, a highly valued celebration in Nwoase, scheduled to begin on December 24, 2024. The event is overseen by the Sanaahene of Nwoase, Nana Kofi Afena, who is instrumental in managing and preserving the cultural practices throughout the festivities.
“The Appor Festival is one of the most cherished festivals in Nwoase, and this year’s celebration will commence on December 24, 2024.”
