Bawumia rallies support for Black Stars head of Nigeria encounter

The Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, is rallying support for Ghana’s Senior National Football team, the Black Stars as they meet their arch-rivals the Nigerian Super Eagles in the World Cup qualifying play-off at Kumasi in the Ashanti Region.

He also assured the Black Stars of the nation’s maximum support as they play home.

“The nation is behind you, so remain determined and make us proud. Go, Black Stars Go!,” Vice President Bawumia wrote on social media.

He continued “I wish the Black Stars the best of luck tonight, as they host the Super Eagles of Nigeria in the Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifying play-off first leg in Kumasi.”

However, as a team prepares to face their opponent, they will miss the services of in-form mercurial midfielder Daniel Kofi Kyereh ahead of their epic world Cup play-off game against Nigeria .

Ahead of the game Starr FM sports can confirm that the in-form St. Pauli player Kyereh will not be risked by the technical handlers of the team because of a knock he picked up at training.

“The medical team are still monitoring him but from all indications they wouldn’t want to risk him for the first leg tie for him to recover fully for the return fixture” a close source told StarrFM sports.
