CHIEFTAINCY DISPUTES RETARD DEVELOPMENT – RESIDENTS CRY

 

 

The Boso-Gua Traditional Area Omanhene Okotwasuo Nyarko Yeboah lll has appealed to the Eastern Regional House of Chiefs to work towards bringing an end to the plethora of chieftancy disputes in Boso-Gua in the Eastern Region of Asuogyaman District.

 

Nana Nyarko Yeboah lll said the disputes thwart the efforts of bringing developments to the people in the traditional area and communities.

 

He said Boso-Gua Traditional Area is a generally peaceful place to live and engage in any human endeavour. However, chieftancy conflicts impede development.

 

According to him for about 10 years, the people of Boso-Gua Traditional have not celebrates Ojooni festival due to chieftancy disputes.

 

Nana Nyarko Yeboah is calling on the government, ministry of chieftancy to take actions of the factions in disputes to resolved.

 

Residents indicated that conflict has made it difficult for the people of Boso-Gua Traditional Area to enjoy peace and development.

 

‘Boso- at a time a very busy commercial town, is struggling to rebuild from the ashes of protracted conflict.

 

Okotwasuo has appealed to the government as matter of urgency to mobilise resources at his disposal to end all these conflicts in Boso-Gua Traditional Area.

 

However, the Queenmother of Boso has equally appealed to the government to assist in the conflict resolution for peace and development of Boso-Gua Traditional Area.
