Collapse of new bridge in DR Congo during commissioning goes viral

A lady and gentleman are set to cut the tape for a new bridge somewhere in the Democratic Republic of Congo, the bridge collapses and there is an ensuing frenzy.

Cameramen snatch the lady and others rush to save people on the bridge.

This video has gone viral across social media platforms – especially on Facebook and Twitter.

It has largely generated mockery as to the kind of projects that authorities take time to commission.

It turns out that the bridge was being commissioned by a local level official in the country’s hinterland.
