President John Dramani Mahama has appointed Adongo Atule Jacob as the Acting Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the Youth Employment Agency (YEA) in charge of Finance and Administration. This appointment was confirmed by a letter signed by the Secretary to the President, Callistus Mahama (PhD). Mr. Jacob has expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the President for this opportunity, pledging his commitment to the agency’s mission.
Notably, Mr. Jacob is visually impaired and has been an integral part of the Youth Employment Agency since 2009. Throughout his tenure, he has worked tirelessly alongside other staff members, navigating the various phases of the agency’s growth.
Currently, he serves as the National Public Relations Officer (PRO) for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Disability Desk.
As a staunch advocate for youth with disabilities within the NDC, Mr. Jacob’s appointment is a significant step towards promoting inclusivity and empowerment. The Youth Employment Agency plays a vital role in addressing unemployment among Ghanaian youth by creating job opportunities and providing skills development programs.
Ultimately, with Mr. Jacob at the helm as Acting Deputy CEO, the agency is poised to make even greater strides in achieving its mission. Mr. Jacob officially assumes his new role today, January 30, 2025 at 9am.
