The St. Paul’s Catholic Cathedral in Techiman has declared a full week of festivities called St. Paul’s Week, running from Sunday, January 25 through Sunday, February 1, 2026, all taking place on the church grounds.
This yearly event features evening gatherings beginning at 7:00 pm each day. It revolves around the central theme “The Conversion of St. Paul and Our Future Glory”, inspired by Romans 5:2–3, and includes various daily sub-themes meant to encourage deeper meditation on salvation, the resurrection, and the promise of everlasting life.
The program kicked off on Sunday, January 25, 2026, with a formal opening ceremony centered on The Conversion of St. Paul and Our Future Glory. This opening reflection established an inspiring spiritual atmosphere for the rest of the week, focusing on personal change through trust in Christ and steadfast endurance.
On Wednesday, January 28, the focus shifts to The Resurrection of Christ: A Guarantee of Our Own Resurrection and Future Glory, drawing from 1 Corinthians 15, and underscoring the confident Christian expectation of life beyond the grave.
Thursday, January 29, brings thoughts on The Day of the Lord: The Fulfillment of Our Future Glory, based on 1 Thessalonians 4:16.
The reflections continue on Friday, January 30, with an exploration of The Final Judgment: The Pathway to Our Future Glory, rooted in 2 Corinthians 5:10.
Saturday, January 31, offers a lighter, community-oriented moment with the St. Paul’s Family Picnic, designed to build stronger bonds, friendship, and togetherness among church members and their families.
The celebrations reach their high point on Sunday, February 1, 2026, featuring the official installation of the new Pastoral Council and Youth Council leaders, along with concluding events and a special thanksgiving Mass to give thanks for a grace-filled week.
