Zera Mission Africa Promotes Community Development and Christian Growth in Banda District.

 

Zera Mission Africa, a non-governmental organization, has organized a sanitation activity in dedication to promote community development and supporting the growth of Christianity in local societies.

 

 

 

According to Zera Mission Africa’s coordinator for Bono, Bono East and Ahafo regions, Mr. Bright Debrah, the organization’s goal is to provide resources that enhance human life and foster societal growth, this was said when the Zera Mission Africa recently organized a sanitation activity in Banda Gbao, a community in the Banda district of the Bono Region.

 

 

 

In an exclusive interview on Fabea FM with Apiah-Kubi, the country director said the initiative demonstrates their commitment to improving the lives of people in local communities and bringing smiles to their faces.

 

 

 

“We are demonstrating what God has told us to do, that is to help the poor and the needy as in James 1:27”, he quoted.

 

 

 

“Zera Mission Africa’s projects go beyond clean-up exercises, as we have observed that most of the communities in the Banda district are farmers and they lack developmental projects”, he stated.

 

 

 

 

He highlighted some of their projects, including Teachers Workshops to provide training and support for teachers to enhance education in the local communities, Surgical Support Schemes to offer medical support and resources to those in need, Providing free medical screenings to identify health issues and provide early intervention, Orphanage Homes for Caring orphans and providing them with support and resources and Community Projects like Building boreholes, toilet facilities, schools, and health facilities to improve infrastructure and access to basic services.

 

 

 

Focusing on Sanitation and Hygiene, the organization’s sanitation initiative in Banda Gbao was based on the results of their health screening, which highlighted the need for proper sanitation and hygiene practices.

 

 

 

Mr. Debrah emphasized the importance of educating communities on the proper use and maintenance of infrastructure and resources provided by the organization for further assistance.

 

 

After the sanitation exercise, Mr. Debrah gifted the vulnerable, aged, businessmen and women, students and the other needy people with an amount of pecuniary aid exceeding Gh¢100,000.

 

 

In his call to action, Mr. Debrah urged those who have benefited from the organization’s projects and resources to make use of them to provision of bettering their lives.

 

 

He also encouraged those who are yet to benefit from the organization’s initiatives to be patient and assured them that their time will come.
