The beauty of winning the VGMA isn’t in the plaque – Black Sherif

Fast-rising songwriter and vocalist, Mohammed Ismail Sherif Kwaku Frimpong known in showbiz as Black Sherif has spoken about winning big at the 2022 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA).

In an exclusive one-on-one interview on Cape Coast’s Kastle FM, the ‘Gold Digga’ crooner stated that the beauty of winning the VGMA wasn’t about the plaque that he was holding but rather the process.

He remarked sighted by MyNewsGh.com “The beauty of winning the VGMA is not in the award that I was holding but the beauty is in the process because you know this guy has been dropping bangers.

He revealed to Amansan Krakye “The beauty is not where I was standing and lifting the award but rather in the process if you really think about it that is where you feel it but the pictures and others are great.

“The real happiness is in when you think about it from where we started till this point so I’ll say that congrats to all of us for the VGMA win because I couldn’t have done this alone,” he concluded.

Black Sherif was adjudged as the ‘Best New Artiste’ and Hip Hop Song of the Year’ winner at the 23rd edition of the VGMA held at the Grand Arena of the Accra International Conference Centre on May 7, 2022.
