The 26th Telecel Ghana Music Awards have named Yaw Darling the “Unsung Artiste of the Year.”

Yaw Darling, a rising star, won the Unsung category at this year’s Telecel Ghana Music Awards 2025, guaranteeing him a spot on stage at the ceremony in Accra on May 10. Known for his energy and emotional clarity, Yaw Darling is rapidly becoming recognized as one of the promising voices in Ghana’s music scene. The Afrobeats artist began his career in February 2023 with the love-themed single “Pull Up,” which garnered him attention for its catchy sound and relatable lyrics. His second single, “Password,” sparked dance trends on social media, further expanding his audience.

Yaw Darling is well-known for his distinctive style of highlife music, and his popular songs, such as “Party with Medical,” “Investment” featuring Bisa Kdei, and “TGIF,” have been making waves. Yaw Darling, who is managed by Sky Entertainment, became well-known as a result of his skill and diligence.

The Ghana Music Awards, which honor exceptional musical achievements by Ghanaian artists in genres like highlife, hiplife, gospel, Afropop, and traditional music, will celebrate their 26th anniversary this year.

This ceremony will be held at the Accra International Conference Centre.
