The Right Time To Eat Your Afternoon Meal (Lunch)

Breakfast and dinner are often mentioned, but what about lunch, an important midday meal? Because of a hectic work schedule and the need to fit in exercise, it could be difficult to have lunch at the same time every day of the week.

However, according to Healthline, eating your lunch at a particular time everyday is one of the best ways to stay healthy and fit. I’ll discuss when lunch should be eaten in this piece, according to health and medical professionals.

The ideal time to have lunch.

The Mayo Clinic states that a nutritious, well-balanced lunch should keep you full and active for 4-5 hours. If you had breakfast at 8 a.m., you should have lunch ready by noon or 1 p.m. Your continual awareness of your body’s hunger cues suggests that this may possibly be a contributing element.

It depends on how active you were during that time, but if you skipped breakfast or only ate a little meal, you should start to feel hungry sooner and need to eat in order to keep up with your activity, even if it’s just going to work.

How long should you wait to eat lunch after breakfast?

How long you should go between meals is up for discussion. Everyone should aim for a 4-5-hour interval between meals to give the body adequate time to digest. For instance, if you don’t feel hungry six hours after eating breakfast, it can be a sign that you don’t need to eat as many calories in the morning.

Why it’s a bad idea to miss lunch.

Since you don’t think you’ll have time to eat a meal during the day due to your hectic work schedule, you snack until dinner. Studies show that those who eat the majority of their meals at night generally consume more calories. I therefore advise against economizing on lunch.
